- Abstract
The DiKoLAN orientation framework describes digital core competences for teaching in science education. A course offered by the Chair of Science Education at the University of Konstanz is specifically dedicated to fostering the competencies mentioned in DiKoLAN. This article describes the concept, implementation, and evaluation of a teaching‐learning module in the field of simulation and modelling. The evaluation of the module has revealed areas of knowledge with potential for development among the students, shown the strengths of a structural orientation following DiKoLAN and provided approaches for optimising future courses to promote digital competencies in the area of simulation and modelling.
