In this short note, the fungal species Clathrus ruber is reported for the second time in Romania, 60 years after the first record. It was identified in the northeastern part of the country, in Iaşi region, in a Lolium sward from a private garden. Twenty fruitbodies were counted between June and October 2020. It is not known how the species was brought into the garden.
