An essay is presented on understanding the place of genuine Christian experience within moral theology and catechesis. Topics covered include parallels between modern Catholic moral theology and catechesis, the importance of recovering the centrality of the encounter with Jesus Christ, and the Christian experience's role in reflecting on the faith's moral requirements. Also mentioned are Christology's contributions to Catholic theology and catechesis and the works of Saint Augustine.
