- Abstract
The article discusses a court case wherein the plaintiff was unfairly denied her position with the Library of Congress's Congressional Research Service (CRS) after she underwent a male-to-female gender transition. According to the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 of the U.S., it is unlawful for an employer to fail or refuse to hire any individual because of such individual's sex orientation. It states that the District Court of the District of Columbia favored the plaintiff.
