- Authors
Ali, Farhana; Sweeney, Daniel A
- Abstract
The authors discuss a study by Rao and colleagues published within the issue which compared nasopharyngeal (NP) swab testing for COVID-19 to a saliva sample-based testing strategy. Topics include aspects of the study which may limit the generalizability of the results, suggestion in the study about saliva-based COVID-19 testing, and variability in performance of saliva-based testing for COVID-19.
