- Abstract
The article discusses how to effectively treat pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), particularly the need to examine past the coverage for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Topics include the percentage of reproductive-age women affected by PID in the U.S., the symptoms of PID like abdominal/pelvic pain and tenderness of the uterus, cervix and adnexa, and the self-reported cases of PID in the 2013-2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) survey.
