- Authors
Levine, Debra
- Abstract
In this article the author discusses the videos of the ACT UP Oral History Project. ACT UP was a militant group of protesters devoted to issues arising from the epidemic of AIDS in the 1980s and 1990s and active primarily in the United States. The author notes that in viewing the archive she had to adopt a research methodology that reflected ACT UP's collectivity. A number of individuals associated with ACT UP are described including filmmaker James Wentzy, Bob Rafsky, an AIDS activist, and campaigner James Eigo.
