In this article, the author presents his experiences in Tanzania in the early 1990s about the women's groups and the marketing of health interventions. The author says that use of expanded polystyrene beads as a layer over the water in septic tanks and pit latrines was one of the best ways of controlling Culex mosquitoes. The auther further says that these beads also help in reducing the smell.
