- Authors
Al-Kuraya, Khawla S.
- Abstract
The article comments on the results of the study by A. Syed et al on the role of mutations of KRAS oncogene and TP53 gene in colorectal carcinoma (CRC) in Kashmiri population from India published in the same issue. The study found that the incidence of KRAS mutation in CRC was 22.6% while 45% for TP53. The author notes that the findings do not necessarily apply to all ethnic groups due to molecular differences. It adds that further studies must be made in a bigger sample size.
