- Abstract
The author reflects on the importance of hiring the right chief medical officers (CMOs) in the success of biotechnological companies. According to the author, CMOs play a strategic role in the success or failure of a program, or even the whole company, primarily because of their expertise in various areas of the business. Moreover, CMOs are responsible for picking reliable signals from the massive array of diagnostic and analytical tools to collect significant data within the company.
