- Abstract
The article discusses the limits of public accommodation anti-discrimination laws for private businesses in the U.S. It explores the origins and the development of laws for public accommodation with emphasis on their original purpose. It demonstrates the failure of some courts to examine cases associated to expressive conduct by a private business covered by the First Amendment protection.
