Abstract
The article focuses on the established approach deeply invested by institutions which no longer welcomes other thoughts. The author argues that available alternatives are not yet well developed but many options are backed by thought and experimentation. The author contends that alternatives are opposed by authorities due to loss of advantage and that change is risky since reversing the direction is hard. The author cites the Sumerians who were deeply invested in big irrigation agriculture.
