- Abstract
The article discusses the role that the humanities play in American law school curriculum, and it mentions the views of the late U.S. jurist C.C. Langdell regarding legal teaching methods and skills instruction in American law schools. Scientific education is addressed, along with Langdell's practical law experience, the U.S. constitutional law case Hamdi v. Rumsfeld, and legal education reform. The relationships between the law and humanities field such as literature, and history are assessed.
