- Abstract
The article analyzes the role of courts in the U.S. regarding evaluation of environmental impact statements (EIS) reasonable alternatives. It discusses National Parks & Conservation Ass'n v. Bureau of Land Management in this context. It describes the National Environmental Protection Act of 1969 (NEPA) and assesses approaches adopted by circuit courts to define the scope of reasonable alternatives.
