- Abstract
The article features the Theatre at Eastman House, which was built as a memorial to George Eastman by Ellen Andrus Dryden and George B. Dryden in New York. The facility has already hosted a number of lectures and demonstrations by photographic and scientific organizations. More than 315,685 Rochesterians and guests had visited the Theatre to attend free matinee showings of early motion pictures. Several exhibits have brought together visitors who wanted to see the work of photographers like Edward Weston, Arthur Rothstein, Margaret Bourke-White, and Alfred Eisenstaedt. The Theatre provides people the opportunity to study, analyze and appreciate motion pictures.
