- Abstract
We read with great interest a randomized, sham-controlled pilot trial by Zhang I et al i .[1] on the auricular acupressure approach to treat the early stage of knee osteoarthritis. Efficacy of intra-articular injections of platelet-rich plasma as a symptom- and disease-modifying treatment for knee osteoarthritis - the RESTORE trial protocol. The authors showed that the intervention group had a greater improvement in the visual analog scale and the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index on Days 3 and 7, and had a lower frequency of celebrex use compared to the control group,[1] providing a practical modality for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
