- Abstract
The article discusses a study which conducted a reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) (RT-PCR) and real-time PCR analysis of E2A-PBX1, TEL-AML1, mBCR-ABL, and MLL-AF4 fusion gene transcripts. The study obtained bone marrow (BM) and peripheral blood (PB) samples from 64 B-lineage (B)-acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) patients. Results revealed that 17.18% of the subjects had chromosomal translocation and fusion gene transcripts.
