The article presents a case study of 70-year-old female with multiple comorbidities, on dialysis due to a failed kidney transplant, taking steroids and immunosuppressants. Topics discussed include development of Hinchey III diverticulitis; use of combined transanal and transabdominal approaches for colonoscopy; and transabdominal rectal stump mobilization.
