Abstract
This article looks at the trends in the global economy in 2007. According to the International Centre for Policy Studies (ICPC), problems in the U.S. housing market affected financial markets around the world. The ICPC observes a modest acceleration in the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP). It attributes the growth to a positive contribution of net exports. The center sees the euro-area economy to slowdown. In addition, the ICPC projects investment as the fastest among GDP components in Russia.
