- Abstract
The article discusses a study which aims to investigate the development of a community of learners through a professional development program to enhance the views of teachers about the nature of science (NOS) and teaching practice. Researchers says that the teachers became aware of their changes in views about NOS at the moment when they struggled with the concepts in their own teaching and described their struggles within the professional development community. They note that the community of practice (COP) was not enough to alter teacher's practice.
