THE NATURE OF THE DATA.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the nature of the data on the growth of public school children. The data contain details of repeated physical and mental measurements of 806 girls and 747 boys from the records of the Harvard Growth Study. On the average, the boys were measured 11.4 times while the girls were measured 11.1 times. The ages of the children in the initial measurement range from 5.22 to 12.46 years old. Sex, date of birth, city, ethnic stock, and socioeconomic status are included as supplementary data.
