This pyrolysis process coproduces hydrogen and carbon dioxide.
Abstract
The article reports on Energy Quest Inc.'s development of a pyrolytic steam reforming process that produces hydrogen directly from biomass and other carbonaceous materials with simultaneous capture of carbon dioxide. According to company president Wilf Ouellette, the process promises to be relatively inexpensive because it uses cheap feedstocks. A brief description of the process and its operating temperature is also described.
