- Abstract
This document is a case presentation from the journal Skeletal Radiology. It describes the case of a 41-year-old man who presented with right upper chest swelling and severe pain. The imaging findings revealed an enlarged rib head and right side of the vertebral body with fusion of the costovertebral joint, as well as lipomatous tissue surrounding the enlarged rib segment. The diagnosis was macrodystrophia lipomatosa, which is characterized by lipomatosis of the intercostal nerve with bone overgrowth. The document also discusses the imaging features, etiology, and differential diagnoses of this condition.
