- Abstract
The article presents an interview with Alma Stone Williams, an African American musician who participated in the 1944 summer program of Black Mountain College (BMC) in North Carolina. Williams remembers her experience as a music student at BMC, including his teachers and their teaching practices. She compares BMC to Juilliard School in New York City in terms of music education and piano performance.
