- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 3-year old female with a firm, mobile, non-tender mass located in the right thenar region with inflammation. Surgical exploration showed a well encapsulated lobular ganglion between the abductor pollicis brevis and flexor pollicis brevis muscles. The girl's diagnosis is ganglia of the hand which is usually hard to recognize since the cystic mass is painless and does not interfere with function. Ganglia in children with palmar cysts is common in girls.
