- Abstract
The novel electro-optical materials are of great demand due to their various applications in recent years. L-Lysine potassium dihydrogen orthophosphate single crystals are grown by slow solvent evaporation method and are doped with organic dyes, crystal violet, malachite green, chrysoidine Y, and alizarin red to study their influence on structural, optical, mechanical, thermal, electrical and SHG properties. The powder XRD analysis confirms the tetragonal crystal structure with space group 14-2d. The optical and mechanical properties of the grown crystals are enhanced by dye doping and they belong to the soft material category. Alizarin red dye doped crystal is found to be more thermally stable than the other crystals. The SHG efficiency of malachite green doped crystal is 1.52 times higher than KDP crystal and their electrical properties is also improved. Thus the grown crystals are highly applicable for optoelectronic devices.
