- Abstract
Zinc sulfide thin films are deposited by spray pyrolysis. The growths are varied to attain suitable properties for the application as a buffer layer and electron transport layer in solar cells. All prepared films present a cubic ZnS phase. The 2 min depositions time show a constant transmittance (∼ 94%) in the visible region. Transmittance variations are similar to the crystal quality, and this can be related to the surface morphologies. The band gaps Eg did not show significant variation with deposition times.
