- Title
The Persistence of Division: Further Examples of English-Language Science Fiction Concerning Canadian Separatist Conflicts.
- Authors
Bell, John
- Abstract
The article discusses some examples of the science fiction works which depict Canadian Separatist conflicts. The national disunity incites authors to write possible future scenarios which exemplify the separation or attempted separation of disaffected sections of the country. Among these writings include "A War on Poverty," by E. A. Partridge, the latest novel of Hugh MacLennan, Leslie A. Croutch's "The Immigrant" and others.
