- Abstract
The article centers on the U.S. government's e-government services. It discusses the origins of e-government services, successes, shortfalls and challenges. It discusses the 1992 agreement between the state of Kansas and the Kansas Information Consortium, a startup-firm aiming to make e-government happen, Y2K, and E-Government Act passed by Congress. Website updating by Wisconsin, cost-savings generated by e-government and Utah's mobile-first strategy for e-government services are discussed.
