- Abstract
This article analyzes the processes of change and renewal in the historic center of Bogota, linked with the relocation of vulnerable people, whom inhabit this zone considered as violent and highly dangerous. The administrative actions are executed by the modern urbanism's principles of hygienic, in order to struggle hovels and misery. The conjuncture in San Bernardo and Voto Nacional, a couple of neighborhoods with high architectonic weakening, which will be demolish and renewal to do Ciudad Salud (Health City), offers a privileged scene and a unique chance to analyze this phenomenon. These processes of city modernization search to eliminate the criminal and delinquency rates, and we must study them critically. Then, with an anthropological perspective, this text looks for clarify the social meanings about the urban revitalization.
