- Abstract
The article describes two cases of patients who developed new periungual cutaneous lupus erythematosus lesions after having gel manicures dried under ultraviolet nail lamps. The first patient was a 35-year-old South Asian female with a history of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) while the second patient was a 40-year-old African American female with a history of SLE and DLE. Topics include the disease manifestations and how the patients were treated.
