- Abstract
The article discusses the applicability of U.S. state contract laws in international arbitration agreements. Topics explored include the preemptive scope of the U.S. federal arbitration law in comparison to state contract laws, the preemption effects under the U.S. Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) and the United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, and the restatement of the U.S. Law of International Commercial and Investment Arbitration.
