The article focuses on the moving panoramas as the popular form of entertainment in the U.S. in the 19th century. Topics include the adaption of panoramic form for use in children's toys with small, boxed panoramas, the historical panorama titled "Rebellion" which was published by Milton Bradley & Co. in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1868, and the importance of moving pictures on how children can play through the momentous events like the American Civil War.
