- Authors
Steel, Howard S.; Zarrini, Elnaz; Goldinstein, Arkady A.
- Abstract
The article provides an overview of the NML Capital Limited v. Republic of Argentina U.S. Supreme Court case, concerning the denial of an Argentina's petition for certiorari in an ongoing dispute between NML, one of Argentina's bondholders of Fiscal Agency Agreement bonds and Argentina. Argentina regarded the denial of certiorari as a victory of hedge funds. It is concluded that the status of New York law in the sovereign debt market is not undermined by this denial.
