The article analyzes the U.S. Supreme Court Ruling in the case of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. v. Campbell. This was the only insurance bad faith case ever heard by the Supreme Court. It was also one of the first cases in which a court sided with an insurance company. By looking closely at the case, insurers can find ways to persuade juries to side with them.
