- Abstract
A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of some newer insecticides against sucking pest of mungbean crop during kharif 2014 and 2015 at RARI Durgapura, Jaipur. All the insecticidal treatments were found significantly superior over control (untreated). The lowest infestation of sucking insect pests and corresponding higher grain yield (10.50 q/ha) was recorded in plot treated with ST with Thiomethoxam 35 FS (3g/kg seed) & spray with Thiomethoxam 25 WG @ 25.0 g.a.i/ha. The treatment with Spiromesifen 240 SC @ 150ml.a.i./ha and Diafenthiuron 50 WP @312.5 g. a.i./ha were also found very effective against sucking pests.
