- Abstract
The article presents the results of a research study carried about the author regarding the perception of college students about the issues on rape and sexual assault in the U.S. It examines the important role of mental health professionals in the recovery of rape victims. Also offered are suggestions on how college administrators, faculty and staff, service providers, and law enforcement can reduce the incidence of rape on campuses and help rape victims recover from victimization.
