- Abstract
The article discusses dyskeratosis congenital (DKC), its history, genetics and pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnosis and treatment. It describes DKC as a multisystem disorder that inclines to cancer and bone marrow failure. It notes the significance for DKC patients to be closely monitored. It identifies gene mutations engaged in telomere biology. It recognizes allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation as the sole haemopoietic abnormality's long-term cure.
