The article reports on the Pseudocordylus melanotus melanotus which is commonly known as the Craig lizard. Discussed also are the intensive description of the appearance of the lizard and the initial record of the lizard in the Magaliesberg Ridge in South Africa and several sightings at localities like in the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and Swaziland, all in South Africa.
