The article describes the case of pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis as an incidental finding on endoscopy of a 46-year-old male patient. Case highlights include the patient's outpatient index colonoscopy to determine the cause of unspecific symptoms in the left lower abdomen, outcome of radiologic follow-up eight weeks later, and primary lactose intolerance revealed by further work-up of the lower abdominal pain.
