- Abstract
The article discusses the history of Fregon, South Australia, a settlement for the Aṉangu, or Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara, Aboriginal people. Particular focus is given to the author's experiences of observing infrastructure work completed at the community's inception in the 1960s. Details on changes in Fregon and in the Aṉangu community between 1961 and 2011 are presented. Other topics include public welfare and drug and alcohol abuse.
