- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of deception by government officials to obtain the evidence in criminal cases, civil cases, and disciplinary cases. Topics discussed include the U.S. Supreme Court case Hoffa v. United States use of a government informer as a means to obtain evidence for a federal jury tampering investigation, the use of undercover work by government officials in the U.S. Supreme Court case Lewis v. United States and opinion of the American Bar Association on the same.
