- Abstract
The article offers information on the history, purpose and significance of the enactment of the Senate Bill 344 by the Texas legislature, commonly known as the Texas's new Junk Science Writ, which provides reactive and preventive measures for protecting the victims of wrongful convictions. It informs that the Writ assists in granting of habeas corpus relief to prisoners in trials for convictions based on scientific and forensic evidence such as the admissibility of DNA as evidence.
