The article focuses on a comparison of federal and New York State arson and robbery filings during 2006-2010. Topics discussed include federal cases from the U.S. Sentencing Commission's (USSC) database, data provided by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services and multistate statistics obtained from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Uniform Crime Reports. It also discusses the federal and state statutes related to arson and robbery offenses.
