The article focuses on the harmful effects of e-waste on the developing world and the international environmental laws for e-waste regulation. It discusses the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes & Their Disposal . It mentions regulations to manage e-waste such as U.S Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the European Union's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive and the Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances.
