- Abstract
The article describes an instruction model developed at the Clinical Tutor Training Unit at Vejle School of Nursing in 2004. The model is intended the clinical tutors and nursing students in clinical training in the psychiatric department. The instruction model symbolises a dynamic process in which the different steps in the model contained aspects of the new 'craft apprenticeship' principle and sound Dialog practice. The stages of the model are described, studied and related to practical experience. The model has been tested over a period of three years on nursing students and has proven useful in the instruction of nursing students and their learning processes in psychiatric nursing.The model can be used by other professional groups and other specialities.
