- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to investigate the effect of repeated vaccination on the humoral and cellular porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV-2)-specific immune response of sows. The study used randomised controlled field trial during sows examination and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for PCV-2-specific DNA detection in serum samples. The study found that repeated vaccination in sows to prevent PCV-2 could increase the levels of antibodies in the offspring.
