- Abstract
A guarani narrative on the origin of Chaptalia nutans (Asteraceae) is showed here. This narrative explains the medicinal and magic uses of this plant as antidepressant and its guarani name: "I don't happy". I suggest that the name, the uses, and the myth about the origin of this plant, has been inspired on the autonomous movements of the peduncles. For close this contribution a reflexive discussion on the dialogues that the guarani peoples frequently practice with plants and animals, is essayed.
