- Title
Grizzly Hunting is Trophy Hunting.
- Authors
BADER, MIKE
- Abstract
The article discusses the potential delisting of grizzly bears from the Endangered Species Act and the implications it would have on grizzly bear hunting. If the delisting is approved, management of grizzly bears would be transferred to the states, allowing for trophy hunts in Montana and Wyoming. The article argues that all grizzly bear hunting is trophy hunting, as there is no requirement to harvest the meat. It also raises concerns about the ethicality of using private citizens to remove bears with a history of management or habituation. The article concludes by urging readers to oppose the delisting and trophy hunting of grizzly bears.
