- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a professional ice dancer with rupture of her ankle extensor retinaculum. It could be noted that she suffered from a sudden pain in her right ankle while skating. The examination shows that there was a palpable defect in the inferior part of her ankle extensor retinaculum. During the operation, it was found out that the superior limb of the retinaculum's inferior part have ruptured. It was then reconstructed with a segment of facia lata from the thigh.
